To All SCPA Members, The SCPA Board and Officers want to thank you for your support and participation during this very difficult decision. Voting on the Contract Extension Proposal ended last night at 2358 hours. SCPA had a total of 597 possible members eligible to vote and 371 officers exercised their right to vote. We had one of the highest voter turnouts in that 62.14% of eligible members voted. The final count was 275 votes approving the Contract Extension to 96 votes not approving the Contract Extension. Below is the official final tally from Votenet. As much as this difficult decision has caused a divide within our Membership it is imperative that we reunite and band back together in order to face the many challenges that will be thrown upon us in the near future. As the financial future of the State of California and Sacramento County continues to look bleak, I stand confident that we as a Membership can and will face whatever challengers we must in order to ensure Public Safety and protect our Membership as a whole. The SCPA Board and Officers remain dedicated to preserving the best interests of this Membership. | Contract Extension Proposal | | Are you in favor of the Proposed Contract Extension through 2014. | | (Total 371 responses) | | Yes, I approve the contract extension | 74.12% - (275 votes) | | No, I do not approve the contract extension | 25.88% - (96 votes) | Respectfully, Greg Stuber-SCPA President
